GERBER'S CULTURE OF GRATITUDE - 2021 EDITION
Here at Gerber, we are thankful for many things. For an outstanding team, amazing clients, and our ability to continue serving clients during a pandemic, arguably the most challenging time in our company's history.
In the spirit of the Thanksgiving season, we asked our team members what they are most thankful for this year. We're sharing those thoughts with you in this blog.
Jocelyn Sperko, Chief Operations Officer
- I'm thankful for a close-knit, caring, and supportive family and friends near and far; especially my wonderful partner, Matt, our beautiful daughter Remi, and Matt's two amazing boys, Jaxon and Noah
- I'm thankful to work at Gerber and am grateful for the entrepreneurial culture that Randy has instilled here - open, dynamic, flexible, supportive autonomy, encouraging of growth, and a place where fun and laughter are the norm. Our services are innovative, and our entrepreneur clients are doing fun and amazing things! I'm so proud and appreciative to be a part of it all
- I'm thankful for team members who truly care about Gerber andabout our clients
- I'm grateful for crisp, cool days full of color and fall flavors - this is my favorite time of year! This time of year, I'm also thankful for good eats, festive libations... and pants with built in stretch
Erik Roemer, Chief Compliance Officer
- I'm thankful for my family's health during the pandemic, specifically my mother and my in-laws who did not contract COVID and remain healthy
- I'm grateful that my youngest son (age 17) was able to play high school soccer after having a two-year hiatus due to a medical condition
- I'm thankful that my oldest son (age 20) is excelling at his astrophysics major, studying at his dream college (Ohio State)
- I'm thankful for my wife, who is an all-around stellar person. Her ability to focus on the important things in life is super admirable. She makes me a better person
- I'm grateful for the tremendous team at Gerber, who is positive, cares deeply about our clients, and strives each and every day to help them live better lives
- I'm thankful for the outstanding group of friends I bike ride with twice a week, providing me with both physical and social health

- I could not be more thankful to find a home on the Gerber team. I've never been more excited with more work. We get to help some of the most fascinating and successful people in our city and beyond
- I am thankful for my community here in Columbus. Everyday, I feel support of a neighbor, friend, or family member
- I am thankful that after a COVID delayed year, Jenny and I will be having our (destination) wedding in December with our closest friends and family!

- I am grateful for the amazing opportunity to work at Gerber, as I have learned so many new things that have taken me outside of my box. I have grown my insurance knowledge base and learned life lessons
- I'm thankful for my amazing husband and our newest blessing, our baby girl, who will be born in December

- I am grateful for my leadership team at Revolution Power Yoga in Colorado - they have invited me into their lives to help grow their business, and provided great friendship, advice, and support to me on my life journey

- I'm thankful for my friends and family who support me and help me with my sons, especially when I must be in two places at once
- I'm thankful I can provide a great lifestyle for my sons
- I'm thankful to be able to take my sons to all the Toledo home football games and visit family. This has been a tradition and I'm glad it's back
